MOTMX Information
The race is open to MOTMX members only. NO EXCEPTIONS. Memberships are available at the track - see below for membership options and pricing.
This is a volunteer club, if you come out and ride please volunteer to help out. It makes things much easier when people volunteer and don’t have to be asked.
Memberships will be available for sale at each event to those who are eligible for membership. To be eligible you have to be over 30 years of age or you must come with your parent who is over 30 years of age and your parent must compete/ride at the event. If you are under 18 and a member you must have a parent (who is a MOTMX member) present in order to sign in and ride. If your parent leaves, you don’t ride period.
All riders must sign in and must display the proper ride pass/sticker before they will be allowed on the track.
Fees will be:
Admission: $10.00 for each person for the weekend. $25 Maximum for a family
Camping: $10.00 for each vehicle for the weekend.
MOTMX 2019 Club Membership Fees:
$25.00 (Individual full year/$15 weekend only
$50 (Family full year/$25 weekend only)
Practice/Test and Tune Fee (Saturday) $30.00 per racer
Race Fees (Sunday):
$30.00 1st class for each rider
$20.00 2nd class for each rider
100 family maximum
Our goal is to make the event as cost effective as possible.
Directions From Winnipeg: The track is about an hour and 15 minutes from Winnipeg. Take the Transcanada Highway to MB-12S. The track is about 25 minutes South of Steinbach (58km from the MB-12S exit). The turnoff is EXACTLY 4km past the green “ZHODA” sign. Turn right onto Franko Road (there are a few green electrical boxes on your left) and drive 3.3km. The track will be on your left. You cannot see the track from the road but you can see a big, white shop. We will try to have some kind of markers out on practice days on MB-12S and Franko Road.
Track Type: The track is a very loamy or sandy type of soil. It holds moisture very well. There has yet to be a rock or stone found on the property. The track is technical and yet vet and vintage bike friendly. Special changes made to regular layout to enhance the “Vet” and “Vintage” experience
Classes
50/65 cc (run together scored separately)
85 cc A/B (run together scored separately)
Support (125cc - Open cc) class for immediate family members under 30 years of age of MOTMX members. Parents must be present and registered to compete in event)
Ladies (Open cc) class for immediate family members and MOTMX Members.
30 – 39 A/B/C (open cc) sign up for the level you feel qualified for. You must be between 30 and 39 years of age on race day (Not older or younger). NO EXCEPTIONS
40 – 49 A/B/C (open cc) sign up for the level you feel qualified for. You must be between 40 and 49 years of age on race day (Not older or younger). NO EXCEPTIONS
50 – 59 A/B/C (open cc) sign up for the level you feel qualified for. You must be between 50 and 59 years of age on race day (Not older or younger). NO EXCEPTIONS
60 – 69 A/B/C (open cc) sign up for the level you feel qualified for. You must be between 60 and 69 years of age on race day (Not older or younger). NO EXCEPTIONS
Vintage Air Cooled (open cc) Bike must be air cooled NO EXCEPTIONS
Vintage Water Cooled (open cc) Bike must be water cooled (Pre-1996)
If you have a bike (let’s say a 1999 RM 250 that is a real heap and want to ride contact us. We want to encourage vintage racing so the MOTMX will look at the bike/situation and make a discretionary decision).
Saturday, August 31, 2019 – Schedule
9:00 am Gates Open for the weekend!
11:00 am Open Ride Day/Test and Tune – put on by Zhoda International
Raceways – track prepped and watered. Cost is $30.00 per rider. Special rate for families! This is a non motmx event, but is being advertised here as a service to those who may wish to ride the day before the race. It is also a way for our hosts to recoup some expenses for the weekend. Please come out and ride!
3:00 pm Open Ride Day/Test and Tune ends
3:15 pm Track Maintenance and prep for race day

6:00 pm Community/Family Supper/Bench racing/Riders Meeting – More details to follow hosted in the shop area on site
