Update on Jamie Burmey

As many of you already know, Jamie Burmey had a horrific crash during practice at the 4th round of the Canadian Women's Nationals in Regina on June 25th. She was taken to hospital where they confirmed she had broken both femurs, and fractured her pelvis in multiple spots. She had surgery that night to have rods put into both femurs, and 4 screws into her hips. She is gaining more mobility everyday! Tonight (July 6th) she was transported via air from Regina to Winnipeg. She is now at the Health Sciences Centre and would love some visitors! She is in and out of her room a lot, so please text/facebook message her to arrange your visit.

We're all wishing you a speedy recovery Jamie!

In good spirits a couple days after her crash

"Today I walked a total of 10 feet with the parallel bars - which I put most of my weight onto through my arms and then shuffled a bit with my legs. Shortly after I used a walker but I could only take 3 steps - an accomplishment for me nonetheless."…

Shane Hartje's Rehabilitation Fund

Our motocross community in Manitoba is second-to-none. When a rider is injured, not only are they surrounded with prayer, thoughts, hope and love but their family as well. Shane was severely injured at Shadow Valley and still remains in the hospital. The crew at Capitol Motosports has created a GoFundMe campaign for Shane, not only for expenses that add up for him and his family but as a way for us to show our support.

Shane, the entire community has you in their thoughts and prayers as you continue to recover.
