Midway Update from Grassroots

We are officially at the halfway point of the 2023 Manitoba MX season. What a great summer so far! The weather has been amazing, the turn outs have been very good, and the racing across the board very competitive.  Each promoter has given our community a tremendous race track and we continue to be spoiled with the level of prep and pride they take in welcoming the community to their venues.

Morden Round 5!

We are excited to race back to back at Morden, one of our most popular stops on our circuit. Shadow Valley Raceway stepped up after the cancellation of the Zhoda race. Morden also hosted back to back in 2021 when we were still fighting the pandemic and both races provided great racing and equally strong turn outs.

So, four races left! Get out and race!

Pilot Mound: Next weekend!

OPEN PRACTICE

ALTONA UPDATE

Unfortunately we had an incident in the pits at Altona. Two bikes collided and those involved were fortunate to escape without serious injury. We have mentioned this at every riders meeting and it is ultimately up to all of us at the races, not any one person, to help in keeping both pit bikes and the race bikes in first gear with the wheel NEVER leaving the ground while at the facility.

RIDERS MEETINGS

We appreciate those that come out to our riders meetings each race day. These are important in that they serve as reminders for all race day changes. These meetings also address any issues that come up throughout the season. If you miss important information that affects the day, this remains your responsibility.

Round 2 this weekend at Moto Park-X!

She has worked tirelessly in the background for motocross in Manitoba. Des has been responsible for the creation and design of our website, our social media, print materials and so much more. Des was so incredibly important to our sport throughout the pandemic as we were constantly revising and updating race day protocols to keep our community up-to-date and racing.

Des, thank you for your passion and your professionalism. You are the goods.

The Chez Koop Corporation — A new design firm is partnering with Grassroots! Welcome Chez Koop to the Manitoba Motocross community.

RIDER’S MEETINGS

We appreciate those that come out to our rider’s meetings each race day. These are important in that they serve as reminders to our schedule for the day in addition to any changes that might take place in the race order. We also use these meetings to address any issues that come up throughout the season that may need to be addressed. If you do miss some important information that affects the day, this remains your responsibility.

Track your results live throughout the day with the mylaps speedhive app or view the results board at the track as we update throughout the race day.
